A Cromer Bus,
Not a Cromer Business
The Love Bus lives in Cromer on the north Norfolk coast, and that is where a lot of its character comes from. Owner Laurence McMahon, known professionally as The Great Lorenzo, is a Cromer based cabaret performer, and the bus has become a familiar sight along the seafront and on the clifftop.
Locally it has run summer residencies as part of the Cromer Pier 1960s Festival, including a lunar module moon landing re-enactment on the pier that was every bit as silly as it sounds. It has hosted solo acoustic sets on the clifftop from Muneer Hassan of Opaque, and it turns up at community events across the county.
But the important part is this. It is a mobile venue. Whatever it does in Cromer, it does exactly the same anywhere it can drive to. Norfolk, Scotland, Cornwall, mainland Europe. Same bus, same power, same setup, no local infrastructure required at either end.
